The recent LOCATE study illustrates more lipid lowering medications (statins and PCSK9 inhibitors) result in better vulnerable atherosclerotic plaque reduction in the heart. A low dose of the lipid lowering medications results in minor reduction of non-calcified (potentially vulnerable) plaque and high doses eliminate potentially vulnerable atherosclerotic plaque.

She celebrates life at music festivals, like Coachella, with her adult children. She loves walks with her dogs, Winston and Summer. The dogs help educate about heart disease too.
